8) Will we be able to discuss our questions about "The Next Step of Faith"?
Yes, the annual Thanksgiving Dinner offered an opportunity for the introduction of this effort. Over the coming weeks, Pastor Jim and other church leaders will be meeting with each adult Sunday School class and small groups to present updates and answer any additional questions.
9) When will the responses of our congregation be collected?
The two responses being requested are: (1) A cash offering and (2) A 36 month pledge. These will be collected initially at our Christmas Eve Communion Service on December 24 at 6:00 PM. This "Birthday Offering for Jesus" on Christmas Eve will allow the church's members and friends time to prayerfully consider their faith-based pledge in "The Next Step of Faith."
10) How will the results be announced?
Since some members and friends will be away for the holidays, the final results of "The Next Step" will be announced on January 15, 2012 in the morning service.
11) Are we paying a fund-raising company to help us in "The Next Step of Faith"?
Most of the time, churches contract with outside consultants and fund-raising agencies to roll out a debt-retirement program like "The Next Step." Since our pastor leads his own 501-C3 ministry to do this kind of consultations for churches, he is providing the leadership for this effort as a part of his work as our interim pastor.
12) Will we be able to designate ourt pledges for special projects?
Initially in this "Next Step of Faith", a number of priorities have to be resloved like the itmes in the Level 1 Goals. The response of our church family in sacrifcial giving for this "Next Step of Faith" will decide which leve and goals we will be able to complete.
13) What outreach ministries are being planned in these efforts?
We wunderstand these beautiful buildings and out new locations are valuable assets for outreach ministries. We hope uin the coming months to make connections with a variety of civic, buisness and church groups to leverage the uses of our new porperty. As we significatly increase our presense in the community and more people know about Hemet Church of the Nazarene, the evangelistic impact will increase.
