Our Caravan program runs from September to May. We meet every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30p.m. and is led by Kevin and Natalie Jackson. If you have children and are interested in the program, please call the Church Office for more information.
Theme for 2009-2010
"The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock (Matthew 7:25 NIV).
Build a Strong Foundation!
Matthew 7:25 illustrates the blueprint for successful Christian living--a strong foundation built on the Rock, Jesus Christ.
Every Christian faces challenges in this world. A foundation built firmly on Jesus Christ enables Christians to stand strong in the face of these challenges.
Caravan is a key component to help build this foundation in the hearts of our children.
Caravan helps to build a strong foundation by teaching:
* -Biblical Truths
* -Nazarene Heritage
* -Nazarene Articles of Faith
* -Nazarene Core Values
* -Social, Spiritual, Physical, and Mental disciplines necessary for a strong Christian foundation
As you plan the Caravan year:
* Plan activities to help build Christian foundations in your Caravan children.
* Create excitement as children participate in the formation of their foundations on Christ.
Encourage children to find creative ways this year to further strengthen their personal foundations in Jesus Christ.
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
(Luke 2:52)
The Caravan ministry exists to help elementary-age children become more like Jesus by encouraging their growth in the four specific areas mentioned in Luke 2:52: mental (wisdom), physical (stature), spiritual (favor with God), and social (favor with men).
Caravan is a time for children to learn how they can grow in all areas of their lives. It also helps children develop an appreciation for and understanding of Nazarene heritage and beliefs.
