 Pastor Michael & Sarah Falgout

After ten years in the Midwest, studying, teaching, and pastoring congregations in the greater Kansas City area, Pastor Michael is happy to be back home in Southern California, privileged to serve among the people where he first learned to hear God’s call. A graduate of San Jacinto High School (’03), Point Loma Nazarene University (’07), Nazarene Theological Seminary (’11), and Rockhurst University (’15), Michael has invested much of his time and energy into biblical/theological scholarship, Christian education, and congregational discipleship. Now, with the constant support of his wife, Sarah, and three kids at home, he tries to focus his attention on the things that matter most: living like Jesus every day, praying sincerely, building relationships and communities that reflect God’s kingdom, and sometimes (though perhaps not very often) making people laugh.

Our Mission

The mission of the Church of the Nazarene is to make Christlike disciples in the nations.

Our Vision

We are a Great Commission church (Matthew 28:19-20). As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands.

The Church of the Nazarene bonds together individuals who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship, and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, preaching, training, and service to others.

 Our Drive

We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons along with our personal commitment to Christlike living.

While the primary motive of the church is to glorify God, we also are called to actively participate in His mission—reconciling the world to himself.

Nazarenes are becoming a sent people—into homes, work places, communities, and villages as well as other cities and countries. Missionaries are now sent from all regions of the world. God continues calling ordinary people to do extraordinary things made possible by the person of the Holy Spirit.

Get Connected

Small Groups

Young woman reading bible

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Hemet Church of the Nazarene has small bible studies. The size of the group is anywhere from six to twelve. At any time, designated by your group, you can participate in the small group study.

Music Ministries

Do you have musical abilities? There’s always a chair available in the choir loft…come share your talents with us! Sometimes singing is the only form of praise we can do and you just might make a friend in the process.

Children, Youth & Young Adults

Young AdultsChildren’s Ministry

Here at HCN we love our kids, from newborns to grade 5 we have a place for them. With creative activities and teaching, our children’s workers make the life of Jesus real to each child.

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, the youth get to participate in their own class. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every teen gets to participate and learn. The youth ministry of Hemet Church of the Nazarene is recognized for their close interaction.

Young Adults

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. The young adult group of Hemet Church of the Nazarene provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.

Nazarene Mission International NMI

Our goal is to encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization, to inform people of the world’s needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs.
To challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the mission of the church and to raise funds for mission outreach,
